Many apologies for the lack of posts these past two weeks. Good news is I have some great content coming your way! This week I’m going to be sharing three posts, each exhibiting photos from a shoot I recently did with a couple of new friends, Jake and Keri. Each post will feature two unique outfits from local designer Ali Botma of XIX Palms. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the XIX Palms website for some serious boho island girl inspiration. Ali’s pieces are all beautiful, effortlessly cool, and easy to wear.

I was lucky enough to connect with Keri and Jake a couple weeks ago. Keri is a stylist and Jake is a photographer and they are pretty much the coolest creative couple of all time. They live on the beautiful Northshore, so I seized the opportunity to spend the day on their side of the island away from the hustle and bustle of town. We indulged in the ultimate Northshore day, which began in their tropical garden and ended with coffee in the living room of their beachy jungle bungalow. During the day we also visited a fruit stand, a gorgeous beach, an enormous banyan tree, some picturesque woods, an antique shop, and a delicious shave ice place.

The first XIX Palms dress I’m sharing is the super simple black Onyx V Maxi. Soft, comfy, and easy to throw on for a day spent out and about or over a bikini for a trip to the beach, this maxi dress is a staple that can be dressed up or played down. I love the deep V shaped back.

The second piece I’m wearing is the Blanca Wrap Top. I threw it on with a pair of denim shorts and my homemade wrap choker but it also looks beautiful paired with any of the XIX Palms maxi skirts. The tie front makes it extra versatile, as it can be tied several different ways.

I was so happy to be able to partner with a local photographer, stylist, and designer for these posts. Supporting the local talent we have here in Hawaii is something I hope to continue doing for as long as I have a blog. For all you readers around the world, I hope you enjoy seeing a little slice of the creativity coming from these islands! I also hope you enjoy these photos – we had a blast shooting them! More to come soon.
