San Francisco is hands down one of the most wonderful cities in the world, and I’m not just saying so because I was born there. It’s always fun to go back and visit old friends and stop into favorite restaurants and shops, but it’s also just such a lively vibrant place to explore. Each neighborhood is so unique and full of interesting people, the streets are lined with thousands of brightly colored beautiful houses, and to top it all off, the entire city is surrounded by picturesque bridges, the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
Ryan and I were lucky enough to stay in a couple of different neighborhoods while we were in the Bay Area. We started out in San Rafael (a small city slightly north of SF) for the first night, stayed with my childhood best friend, Mira, at her apartment in the Mission for the second night, and then stayed with my dear family friends, Mike and Mike, in the Castro for the remaining two nights. Last time we were in SF we stayed in the Castro as well and we just had the time of our lives. It’s one of my favorite neighborhoods.
These photos were taken on our last day in the Castro, in front of a friend’s stunning rose garden. For my last day of fall weather I pulled out my favorite black booties and a vintage dress that Mira gave me. Like I’ve mentioned in past posts, I’m a sucker for vintage finds and I just love the little polka dots on this mini-dress. I’ve been putting it to good use now that I’m back in the tropics!
It’s never fun to leave San Francisco behind but I know I’ll be back soon. Cheers, and happy (almost) Halloween!
