Afraid Magazine

Magazine project completed for a practicum at the University of Minnesota.

Before doomscrolling became a daily ritual, Afraid tackled the anxieties of a generation raised in a post-9/11 world—where privacy is a myth, media twists reality, and fear lurks in everything from politics to personal identity. As Assistant Art Director, I helped shape the magazine’s visual identity, ensuring the design complemented the powerful and often uncomfortable stories we told. Beyond design, I also contributed a Humans of New York-style feature, interviewing five strangers about their deepest fears—because nothing says “afraid” like asking people to spill their existential dread on the record.
