Hope everyone has had a lovely holiday season so far! I enjoyed the annual Christmas traditions with my family in Wisconsin and I’m really looking forward to ringing in 2017 back home in Hawaii.
Aside from celebrating Christmas, I’ve been enjoying having some downtime. It’s been great catching up with old friends, visiting favorite restaurants and shops around town, and attending holiday parties, but there’s just something about curling up with a book and lying on the couch for half the day when you’re snowed inside or binge watching a tv show while eating a bowl of homemade soup that is so comforting. (I gotta say though, I do miss the beach.)
On one of these lazy days I dragged myself into the shower and actually changed out of my flannel PJs and got dressed. My sister and I took a little walk in the woods by our parents house and snapped these photos. Was it maybe a bit much to pair a leopard print coat over a Christmas sweater? I say no way.
Also, fun fact, my feet have been frostbitten so many times that they were numb for an hour after being outside for 15 minutes. And this is why I don’t live in the Midwest.
